characteristic of the traditional old school samba (velha-guarda).
The repertoire includes composers such as Arlindo Cruz, Cartola, Nelson Cavaquinho, João Nogueira, Padeirinho da Mangueira,
Winson das Neves, Zé Kéti, Nei Lopes, and many others..
Samba is a Brazilian rhythm and a lifestyle. It is a centuries old culture passed from generation to generation and nowadays it still reinvents itself through musicians and researchers who seek to
keep the samba always alive and updated.
Samba Do Tio Pê Group fits into this context, seeking to develop the samba language through research of composers and songs not yet known to the general public, incorporating new arrangements and new lease of life.

singers to consecrate themselves in the genre.
